Program Description

Mastering Leadership Dynamics is a five-day open-enrollment program for mid- and senior-level leaders. This flagship program focuses on leadership strategies for working effectively with differing viewpoints to improve engagement and raise accountability throughout an organization.

The BB&T Leadership Institute's leadership development process raises a leader's self-awareness, develops conscious leadership practices and improves skills critical to individual, team, and organizational performance. Leaders become more adaptable, better able to effectively manage teams and processes, and more attuned to innovation.

The foundation for this program includes goal setting with the leader's manager and confidential assessment input from peers, colleagues, and team members. These tools are used during the consecutive five-day program to help the leader identify areas of strengths and opportunities for change. The program assists leaders in developing specific action plans for implementation when they return to their work setting.

A follow-up process provides reinforcement and ongoing coaching to participants and their managers.

The Mastering Leadership Dynamics for Education Leaders (MLD-EL) program allows education leaders to benefit from a high impact leadership development program that focuses on application in the school setting.

 

Program Description

Building on our demonstrated success in developing business leaders, The BB&T Leadership Institute has customized a program to meet the specific leadership development needs of public school administrators. With a format and outcomes similar to the flagship Mastering Leadership Dynamics program, MLD-EL is delivered using a blended approach that combines face-to-face and virtual sessions with interim activities distributed over a period of four weeks. This highly experiential program maintains focus on developing conscious leadership, as school leaders learn how our beliefs drive our behaviors, and ultimately create the results we achieve.

The Mastering Leadership Dynamics for Educational Leaders program is currently offered only for public school administrators (principals and superintendents) in targeted states. The BB&T Leadership Institute is honored to support their contribution to developing and shaping the future of our children by providing this leadership development experience at no cost (tuition free).

Leadership Dynamics in Practice

Intact mid and senior-level executive teams benefit from the opportunity to work collaboratively to hone leadership skills and improve team performance.

Program Description

Leadership Dynamics in Practice is a customized program for intact executive work teams.
This program, geared for mid-level and senior-level executives, provides an experiential learning process to improve team performance, communication, morale and retention. Participants will acquire a deep understanding of intrapersonal and interpersonal leadership dynamics and learn new practical leadership behaviors and strategies.

The BB&T Leadership Institute program consultant working with the team will customize the content of the program to align this leadership development process with team goals. The length of meeting sessions and duration of the program can be tailored as can the meeting site. The program is designed for a maximum of 18 participants.
